President - Justin Berg
Justin Berg is a junior studying Biology and Spanish with a minor in chemistry. Before becoming the President of Phi Delta Epsilon, Justin served as the fraternity's Chair of Philanthropy, worked as a Designee of the Dean of Students, and currently volunteers as an Emergency Medical Technician. Justin hopes to follow in his father's footsteps by becoming a physician and specializing in Emergency Medicine. Phi Delta Epsilon has provided him with not just support for his academic endeavors, but a family of like-minded peers that support each other on their way to medical school.
VP of Programming - Nick Polster
Nick Polster is a junior studying Biology with minors in Chemistry, Psychology, and Animal Behavior. He works and volunteers as an Emergency Medical Technician and has held a variety of volunteer positions in hospitals. Nick hopes to attend the Indiana University School of Medicine in 2018 where he will study to become a Family Physician. Phi Delta Epsilon supplies him with the academic resources he needs to succeed, but also provides a family away from home that supports him in his medical journey.
VP of Recruitment - Kate Lawhorn
Kate Lawhorn is a sophomore studying Biotechnology and Microbiology with minors in Biology and Chemistry. She is also a campus tour guide as well as a member of the IU Scholarship Advisory Committee, where she helps recruit scholars to IU from all over the Midwest. She hopes to eventually become a Navy Physician, serving as a ship doctor in the Medical Corps of the United States Navy. For her, the combined academic, service-oriented, and social cultures of Phi Delta Epsilon have been a source of personal and professional growth, as well as lasting friendships.
VP of Finance - Harsh Patel
Harsh Patel is a sophomore studying Neuroscience and Psychology. He is also a researcher in the Crystal Comparative Cognition Lab, which focuses on providing neuroanatomically guided frameworks for understanding memory disorders by observing how animals process and remember events in time. He aspires to become a Pediatric Neurologist and help impoverished children with mental disabilities in America. Phi Delta Epsilon has provided to him a close-knit family, allowing for him to strengthen interpersonal communication skills and learn the value of being around a community of like-minded individuals focusing on service, scholarship, and leadership.
Secretary/Risk Management Officer - Rhett Snyder
Rhett Snyder is a sophomore studying Microbiology with minors in Chemistry, Medical Sciences, and Animal Behavior. He is also involved in the IU STARS program as an undergraduate researcher in the Brun lab where he researches bacterial attachment mediated through external protein structures known as pili. In the future, he aspires to become a practicing pathologist and engage in cutting age biomedical research focused on alternative methods of combating bacterial infection. To him, Phi Delta Epsilon is first and foremost a family in which all members care for one another and are always willing to help each other out as they traverse through the rigors of pre-medical coursework.
